Couple-a-galahs

A$55.00

The second artwork in the ‘Birds of a Feather’ series, ‘Couple-a-galahs’ was again created using polygons to form the parrot and dictate colour. Like the first artwork ‘Polygon want a cracker’, this piece was originally created using watercolour and ink on Archers cold pressed paper and redrawn so it could be reproduce as high quality prints.

‘Couple-a-galahs’ is a landscape style illustrative depiction of two galahs, also known as the pink and grey cockatoo or rose-breasted cockatoo which can be found throughout Australia. An unmistakable and attractive species of cockatoo they can be distinguished easily from other cockatoos by their distinctive gray and pink plumage.

I’m excited to introduce ‘Couple-a-galahs’ into the ‘Birds of a Feather’ series, which celebrates the wildlife of Australia.

To ensure high quality is maintained each artwork is printed by me on A4 Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308GSM museum quality paper. The smooth, matte paper is 100% cotton and is approximately 21cm (high) and 29.7cm (wide) with the printed image size approximately 16cm (high) by 21cm (wide).

All prints are coated with Hahnemühle Protective Spray which contains a UV absorber and offers additional protection against UV light. The coating increases the abrasion to the high quality Fine Art paper, which prevents the risk of fingerprint marks and scratches.

Once the print has cured for 24 hours is it placed into a clear plastic protective sleeve and additional card to ensure the print is protected during transit.
